TRE (Trauma Release Exercises)

TRE ® (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) helps to restore balance to the body by releasing deeply stored tension. This approach will help you to manage and release the effects of stress in your body which in turn positively affects your life.
In TRE we use a series of exercises that are gentle and if needed can be modified for any body type or restriction.

A short description of TRE by Jessica Schaffer from
"TRE ® activates a self-controlled, muscular tremor reflex which is the body’s natural way of re-establishing balance by discharging energy stored in the nervous system. This tremor reflex originates from the Central Nervous System and moves deep in the core of the body, spreading from the legs upward along the spine, slowly unwinding muscular holding patterns from the sacrum to the cranium. Because it is a body-based release, there is very little emotional or cognitive process that is stirred by the practice. So it is a safe and gentle way for the body to process held stress and trauma without re-triggering uncomfortable memories."

Please bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable stretchy clothes.
