Altar: Where Spirituality Meet Psychology

  • The Hive 205 NW Franklin Ave Bend, OR 97701 (map)

You do not need to believe in a God or gods to have an altar. You can have an altar to communicate and get in touch with your own higher knowledge, or a cosmic energy. If you do believe in spirits, saints, angels, deities, etc. this is the place to begin calling on them. The more you spend time at your altar space, the more peaceful energy will be infused there and soon it will be calling to you daily to come and spend some time basking in the peace. A common definition of an altar is ‘Structure on which offerings are made to a deity’. This can be so but it can be so much more than that.

What/When
Altars is a co-ed 8 week group that explores different spiritual concepts from our personal psychology. Class starts February 28th and runs until May 9th, from 7-9pm each Thursday night. No Class March 14th & 28th, April 11th

This offering is part class, part process group, and part experiential learning. Topics include, but are not limited to: belonging, feminine power, creativity, intuition, faith, passion, inner child work, dream analysis.....

Each class will mix personal psychology, with spirituality, with meditation, with mindful/energy healing movement. Weeks build upon each other. Participants will have activities and exercises to do at home to further the learning in class. Participants will also be required to find/explore/buy different items to build a unique altar that accurately reflects who he/she is and is stepping into. By the end of the 8 weeks participants will have their very own mesa bundle that can be used for healing, connect with spirit, prayer, or a home altar.
